Champions of Child Care publicly recognizes child care workers in Dutchess and Putnam Counties who, despite low wages and long hours, have chosen to care for over 10,000 children so their parents can work or attend school. The work they do enables over 300 Dutchess and Putnam County businesses to continue operating with employees who can devote their attention to their work because they have the assurance that their children are lovingly cared for by child care professionals.
Champions of Child Care will recognize child care workers for milestones of years in the early care and education field and for educational achievements. To celebrate the value of the daily work of the child care workers, special awards will be presented to those who were nominated by parents or peers for outstanding performance. City and County dignitaries also honor the child care professionals for their valuable contributions to the community.

Milestone/Education AwardsAre you a child care provider in Dutchess or Putnam County?
It is fitting that we publicly recognize child care providers and programs for significant educational achievements, milestone years of service, and outstanding contributions in the early care and education field. In order to do that, we ask that you complete the form below for ANY individual in your program that has earned an education degree and/or reached a five-year anniversary milestone, since 2023 as well as list your program if you have earned accreditation.
