The Importance of Play
"All they ever do is PLAY!" What makes play so important for young children? Why do so many early childhood programs rely on play as the basis for their curriculum? Young children learn many things as they play. Let's discover what they learn while they are playing and how we can add to this learning and promote play in early childhood settings. We will discuss the various stages of play, the benefits of play and what your role as the teacher in a child's play can look like.
