In this training we will discuss children's social-emotional capabilities in terms of personality, stages of development, egocentrism, theory of mind, and individual experiences. We will discuss strategies for providers to help co-regulate with children enrolled in their programs.

We will also discuss DAP and how to plan the curriculum for the classroom/group, but with any necessary modifications in place to support the individual's needs and interests. We will explore regulatory requirements when program planning.

OCFS Topic areas include: (1) Principles of Childhood Development, (3) Child Day Care Program Development and (7) Statutes and Regulations Pertaining to Child Day Care 

This training is appropriate for all modalities.
