Control the Climate, Not the Child
During a typical day, you may face several incidences of “mistaken” or “challenging” behaviors. In this training, we will discuss why they may be occurring and what you can do to decrease them. Young children “act out” for a reason. It is up to the caregivers to figure out that reason. We will discuss the development of the child and the expectation of that age, and how to help toddlers and preschoolers identify and cope with the feelings they are having. How does the environment affect their behaviors? We will explore external factors that could also be causing/affecting the challenging behavior.
