Lead Poisoning Prevention and Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases
In the first hour of this training, you will learn to identify the symptoms of lead poisoning, different sources of lead and how to prevent lead poisoning in children. You will also learn NYS DOH guidelines on lead screening for children. The second hour of this training will give an overview of tick-borne disease in Dutchess County, prevention strategies to reduce exposure to ticks, and minimize the risk of disease if tick bites do occur.
